    Binani Air launches operations

    Binani Air, via its official Facebook account, announced (12-May-2026) it commenced operations on 11-May-2026, operating Abuja-Lagos service with Embraer E170 equipment. The airline plans to serve Abuja, Kano, Lagos and Yola, according to its official website.

    Nigeria’s regulator issued Binani Air Global Services an air operator’s certificate for scheduled services, with NCAA director general Chris Najomo noting this was only the start of a more demanding phase1. Binani Air previously showcased an Embraer E170 in its livery and was expected to operate from Yola to domestic points including Bauchi, Gombe, Kano, Lagos, Maiduguri and Port Harcourt2.
