Bernstein & Co: B787 programme may not see profit until 1000th delivery

Sanford C Bernstein & Co estimated Boeing's B787 programme "probably won't be profitable until the 1000th delivery" (Bloomberg, 18-Aug-2011). Challenges faced by the programme include production ramp up to 10 aircraft per month by the end of 2013 and delivery of "attractive margins". The B787 programme is more than three years behind schedule.
