BermudAir CEO: Supply chain issues resulted in a 'multiple product airline' strategy

BermudAir CEO Adam Scott, speaking at the CAPA Airline Leader Summit Americas, commented (27-May-2026) on the conception behind the airline, stating: "initially the idea was to build a very small, albeit premium airline in Bermuda, which was in our mind an underserved market but a very strong and resilient market". Mr Scott noted Bermuda has a mix of high-end leisure, predominantly in the summer period, as well as business traffic and a "very wealthy population". He noted supply chain issues caused the carrier to rethink its business strategy, adding: "We ended up becoming a multiple product airline, so we have business and economy". Mr Scott said: "The opportunity was really connecting Bermuda to more markets and then ultimately to show that there was this demand for a premium carrier like BermudAir". He added: "We don't have connectivity on our aircraft so we're well behind the curve on that one, however that being said, the product that we do offer, everyone is very welcoming". [more - CAPA TV]
