Beijing Capital Airlines was scheduled to resume weekly Qingdao-London Gatwick flights with A330-200 equipment from 24-Jun-2026 to 07-Oct-2026, with the route previously unserved, according to OAG.1 China Eastern Airlines was scheduled to increase Shanghai Pudong-London Gatwick from twice to three times daily from 01-Aug-2026, with Air China also operating the route.2 London Gatwick handled nearly 550,000 China passengers in 2024, up approximately 265% year-on-year, with Air China, China Southern and China Eastern operating 33 weekly frequencies to China; London Gatwick CCO Jonathan Pollard cited strong demand and noted Northern Runway plans could support long-haul capacity growth.3
