BEA: cause of AF 447 crash unable to be determined

BEA, the French aviation accident investigation bureau, stated it is still unable to determine the cause of the crash of Air France flight AF 447, which occurred on 01-Jun-2009, killing all 228 on board (Reuters, 17-Dec-2009). BEA confirmed that inconsistent information provided by airspeed probes was one of the elements that led to the accident, although this alone cannot explain it.
