Baltimore/Washington International Airport sets new March pax record

Baltimore/Washington International Airport passenger numbers up 9% - traffic highlights for Mar-2016:

  • Passenger numbers: 2.1 million, +9.0% year-on-year;
    • Domestic: 2.0 million, +8.3%;
    • International: 110,847, +22.2%;
  • Cargo volume: 10,129 tonnes, +13.4%;
    • Freight: 9945 tonnes, +16.9%;
      • Domestic: 9750 tonnes, +17.7%;
      • International: 196 tonnes, -11.7%;
    • Mail: 184 tonnes, -56.9%;

Baltimore/Washington International Airport reported (31-May-2016) a new March passenger record in Mar-2016. Airlines including Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, British Airways, Delta Air Lines, JetBlue Airways, Southwest Airlines and Spirit Airlines experienced passenger growth in Mar-2016. According to CAPA Airport Traffic Database, March passenger numbers exceeded 2.0 million for the first time since 2008.
