Bahrain has outlined plans to construct a new international airport in the city of Muharraq (Gulf Daily News, 30-Sep-2010). Finance Minister and Mumtalakat chairman Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa stated that feasibility studies on the planned development have already commenced.
