Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) announced it has signed an agreement with Aeroports de Paris Ingenierie (ADPi) to create an airport development plan and infrastructure concept design at Bahrain International Airport (Gulf Daily News/TradeArabia News Service, 18-Aug-2010). The first phase of the programme will be finished within two years and involves short-term solutions to improve the interim capacity of the existing terminal. The second phase will be a comprehensive long-term expansion master plan which will completed concurrently with phase one. This phase will address new terminal facilities, runway expansion, taxiway, aircraft maintenance hangars, cargo, general aviation and infrastructure.
