AZANS and Eurocontrol sign agreement on use of Baku airspace centre

Azeraeronavigation Air Traffic Control (AZANS) and EUROCONTROL signed (06-Sep-2019) an agreement on the use of the Airspace Efficiency, Strategy and Development Center at Baku Heydar Aliyev International Airport for planning, forecasting and interaction in managing of air traffic flows in cases of unforeseen circumstances in the region. Eurocontrol director general Eamonn Brennan highly assessed the achievements in civil aviation in Azerbaijan and noted that the strategic location and high level of air navigation services provision makes Azerbaijan attractive for the European organization in the field of air traffic flow planning and increases the number of services between Europe and Asia.
