Avolon sees demand for both old aircraft with low fuel costs and new aircraft

Avolon head of Asia Pacific Simon Hanson, speaking at the CAPA Airline Fleet & Finance Summit 2016, said (03-Mar-2016) aircraft demand remains strong, "whether its old aircraft which are staying in operation longer due to lower fuel prices, or the demand for new aircraft to fuel the overriding growth in the market." Mr Hanson added: "They [OEMs] forecast Asia-Pacific is 30% under-ordered and China is 60% under-ordered and everything we see from airlines suggests thats absolutely the case."
