Avolon sees continued demand for new technology despite low fuel prices

Avolon head of Asia Pacific Simon Hanson, speaking at the CAPA Airline Fleet & Finance Summit 2016, said (03-Mar-2016) there is still strong demand for new technology "notwithstanding the fact that fuel prices are so low." Mr Hanson explained: "For most of these technologies the manufacturers are sold out till the end of the decade," but noted: "65% of the airlines that ordered the A320 haven't ordered the neo yet, and 74% of airlines who have ordered the [Boeing] 737NG haven't ordered the MAX yet."
