Avinor seeking future partner for duty free and single price shops

Avinor announced (15-Dec-2020) plans to issue on 11-Jan-2021 a NOK30 billion (EUR2.8 billion) contract to operate the company's duty free and single price stores in Norway. The shops are located at airports in Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger, Trondheim, Kristiansand, Ålesund, Tromsø, Bodø, Harstad/Narvik, Molde and Kristiansund with the contract term spanning from 2023 to 2027. Avinor EVP commercial Joachim Lupnaav Johnsen said the operator has been "very pleased" with its existing operator Travel Retail Norway but now wants to explore the international market to secure the "best terms and the best shops" going forward.
