Avianca planned to expand its services in 2025, adding new routes such as Bogota-Tampa and Medellin-Fort Lauderdale, while transporting over four million travellers to and from the US in 20241. Additionally, Avianca introduced business class service on 23 more routes from December 2024, enhancing comfort with features like greater recline and charging ports2. The airline was also running a trial at Bogota El Dorado International Airport to serve deaf or hearing-impaired travellers using Colombian sign language until August 20243.
