Avelo Airlines in 'terrific position' to handle fuel price spike: CEO

Avelo Airlines CEO Andrew Levy, speaking at the CAPA Airline Leader Summit Americas, stated (27-May-2026) "We went backwards... at the beginning of [2026] in order to simplify our business, raise capital, which was very fortuitous". Mr Levy noted this process put the LCC in a "terrific position to deal with this dramatic spike in fuel". Mr Levy added: "We're slow and steady and we're a growth company".
