Austrian Airlines investing EUR90m in long-haul cabin improvements

Austrian Airlines announced (09-Oct-2012) it is investing EUR90 million into the refurbishment of its cabins on its long-haul Boeing 777 and 767 fleets. The product improvements will see new economy and business class seating and new in-flight entertainment systems. The overall design of the cabins will feature a new colour concept. Austrian Airlines CEO Jaan Albrecht said, "We are investing over 90 million euros. I view that as an important investment in the future of Austrian Airlines. The software, the warm and charming service we offer on board, has always been unique. When it came to the hardware, however, there was clearly room for improvement. Now, both software and hardware match up to our high standards." [more - original PR]
