Australia seeks to expand capacity ahead of demand, prioritises talks with Fiji, Hong Kong and Qatar

Australia's Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development GM aviation industry policy Stephen Borthwick, speaking at the CAPA Airport Innovation Day Summit, said (03-Aug-2016) the Australian Government's policy on air transport agreements remains focused on expanding capacity ahead of demand. Mr Borthwick said there is capacity available to meet forecast growth in most markets. The Government continues to prioritise negotiations with Fiji, Hong Kong and Qatar.
