ATR CEO Nathalie Tarnaud Laude said it planned to invest USD10 million to USD20 million over two to three years to address maintenance issues, while SVP engineering Daniel Cuchet said it was collecting data from 30 customers to improve corrosion prevention, potentially via material or design changes.1 Mr Cuchet also said an improved nose landing gear certified in late 2024 extended the heavy-maintenance interval from nine to 12 years, cutting sub-system maintenance costs by 15%-20%.1
