ATA airlines reports 2.3% increase in pax in May-2010

Air Transport Association of America (ATA) reports (25-Jun-2010) the following traffic highlights for its member airlines in May-2010:

• Passenger numbers: 44.9 million, +2.3% year-on-year;
  • Domestic: 38.7 million, +1.0%;
  • International: 6.2 million, +11.6%;
    • Trans-Atlantic: 2.4 million, +1.8%;
    • Latin America: 2.8 million, +18.3%;
    • Asia Pacific: 1.1 million, +19.2%;
• Load factor: 82.8%, +2.7 ppts;
  • Domestic: 83.0%, +1.1 ppt;
  • International: 82.4%, +5.8 ppts;
    • Trans-Atlantic: 84.8%, +3.6 ppts;
    • Latin America: 76.2%, +5.8 ppts;
