ATA airlines report easing traffic decline in Nov-2009

Air Transport Association of America (ATA) reports the following traffic highlights for its member airlines in Nov-2009:

• Passenger numbers: 40.1 million, -0.6% year-on-year;
  • Domestic: 35.1 million, -0.3%;
  • International: 5.0 million, -2.1%;
    • Trans-Atlantic: 1.6 million, -6.8%;
    • Latin America: 2.4 million, +0.9%;
    • Asia Pacific: 946,000 -1.2%;
• Load factor: 79.4%, +3.6 ppts;
  • Domestic: 79.8%, +3.5 ppts;
  • International: 78.7%, +3.8 ppts;
    • Trans-Atlantic: 78.1%, +3.9 ppts;
    • Latin America: 77.9%, +4.3 ppts;
    • Asia Pacific: 80.7%, +3.2 ppts. [more]
