The Arora Group’s Heathrow West proposal was developed in partnership with Bechtel and was the first time the UK Department for Transport invited a proposal from outside the airport operator, offering a GBP25 billion expansion plan including a 2800m runway and modernised Terminal 6, as an alternative to Heathrow Airport Limited's more expensive scheme1. The UK Government required both Heathrow Airport Limited and Arora Group to provide further details on the impacts of their expansion proposals2.
