Amsterdam Schiphol Airport gains planning approval for new terminal and pier

Schiphol Group confirmed (15-Mar-2016) planning approval for the development of a new pier and terminal at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, scheduled for completion in 2019 and 2023 respectively. The new terminal is projected to serve 14 million passengers p/a and will be constructed south of Schiphol Plaza, adjacent to the ATC tower and connected to the existing terminal. Schiphol Group CEO Jos Nijhuis stated: "We additionally intend to invest in the station area, the bus station, Schiphol Plaza and Jan Dellaertplein in the coming years.
