AMR Corp reports USD2bn net loss in 2011

American Airlines parent AMR Corp reported (15-Feb-2012) the following financial highlights:

  • Three months ended 31-Dec-2011:
    • Revenue: USD6000 million, +7.4% year-on-year;
    • Net profit (loss): (USD1100 million), compared to a net loss of USD97 million in p-c-p;
    • Mainline operations:
      • Load factor: 82.1%, +0.5 ppt;
      • Passenger revenue per ASM: +8.9%;
  • 12 months ended 31-Dec-2011:
