American Airlines uncertain on new engines for narrowbodies

American Airlines stated it is uncertain whether new engines for the existing A320/B737 narrowbodies will benefit the airline (Bloomberg, 29-Apr-2010).

American Airlines: "It's still to be determined whether this is something that'll be to our benefit or not. It's unknown how well the engine will perform, what the weight of the engine is, and the fact that we'd have single type airplanes with two engine variants," Peter Warlick, Corporate Finance Managing Director.
