American Airlines says changes to aircraft order book will better match fleet needs

American Airlines stated (15-May-2018) it has made a number of changes to its aircraft order book "over the past few weeks" to better match deliveries with the needs of its fleet. The carrier also plans to reduce the number of aircraft subfleets by 42% between 2016 and 2022, noting it will look to improve the customer experience and reduce its operational complexity.
