American Airlines parent operating profit up 31% in 3Q2012

  • Operating profit: USD51 million, +30.8%;
  • Net profit (loss): (USD238 million), compared to a loss of USD162 million in p-c-p;
  • Mainline operations:
  • Passenger traffic (RPMs): -1.8%;
  • Passenger load factor: 85.5%, +0.6 ppt;
  • Passenger yield: USD 14.74 cents, +3.7%;
