American Airlines Group pax numbers up 1% to 17.2m in Mar-2016, cargo traffic down 1%

American Airlines Group reports (11-Apr-2016) the following consolidated traffic highlights in Mar-2016:

  • Passenger numbers: 17.2 million, +1.0% year-on-year;
  • Revenue passenger miles: +3.3%;
  • Passenger load factor: 81.7%, -0.4 ppt;

American Airlines Group: "The Company continues to expect its first quarter 2016 consolidated passenger revenue per available seat mile (PRASM) to be down approximately seven to eight percent year-over-year.
