American Airlines Group pax numbers down 3% at 16m in Apr-2016, cargo traffic up 6%

American Airlines Group reports (10-May-2016) the following consolidated traffic highlights in Apr-2016:

  • Passenger numbers: 16.4 million, -2.5% year-on-year;
  • Revenue passenger miles: -0.2%;
  • Passenger load factor: 80.4%, -1.2 ppts;

American Airlines Group: "The Company continues to expect its second quarter 2016 consolidated passenger revenue per available seat mile (PRASM) to be down approximately six to eight percent year-over-year.
