American Airlines expects to "report a strong, profitable 2Q2013 - our first since 2007"

American Airlines reportedly expects to "report a strong, profitable 2Q2013 - our first since 2007", according to CEO Tom Horton (Star Telegram, 27-Jun-2013). Mr Horton stated the carrier's USD1.5 billion in passenger revenues in May-2013 will aid American in recording a profit.
