American Airlines considering training replacement staff to fill in for striking flight attendants

American Airlines is considering training replacement staff to fill in for flight attendants if they elect to strike, according to the FAA (Bloomberg, 01-Feb-2010). American is currently preparing for a five-day negotiation with the Association of Professional Flight Attendants from 27-Feb-2010. The union plans to seek a release from further bargaining if both parties are unable to reach a decision.
