American Airlines completes entire US Airways mainline fleet livery makeover

American Airlines announced (23-Nov-2016) all 299 former US Airways mainline aircraft are now painted in American Airlines livery, after N563UW exited from the paint shop on 22-Nov-2016. More than 80% of American's fleet is now operating in the new livery. Former US Airways regional aircraft will be painted in the new livery by May-2017, while 100 Boeing 737s in the polished metal livery will be finished by YE2017. A handful of 757s and MD-80s, will continue flying in the old paint scheme, and these will eventually be retired. [more - original PR]
