Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA) reports (09-Dec-2009) the following traffic highlights for its member airlines in Oct-2009:

• Passenger numbers: 11.1 million, +13.5% year-on-year;
  • Domestic: 7.7 million, +18.5%;
  • Asia Pacific: 31,343, -2.8%;
  • Trans-Atlantic: 246,829, +3.7%;
  • Latin America: 2.1 million, +4.2%;
  • North America: 886,402, +6.6%;
• Load factor: 74.4%, +5.3 ppts;
  • Domestic: 72.2%, +7.8 ppts;
  • Asia Pacific: 83.2%, +1.5 ppt;
  • Trans-Atlantic: 79%, -2.4 ppts;
  • Latin America: 75.9%, +6.2 ppts;
