ALTA reports 14% rise in Dec-2009 pax numbers
Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA) reports (17-Feb-2010) the following traffic highlights for its member airlines:

- Passenger numbers: 11.7 million, +13.6% year-on-year;
- Domestic: 8.1 million, +18.6%;
- Asia Pacific: 35,895, +5.9%;
- Trans-Atlantic: 252,661, +13.8%;
- Latin America: 2.2 million, +5.4%;
- North America: 1.0 million, +1.6%;
- Load factor: 73.7%, +3.3 ppts;
- Domestic: 72.2%, +3.3 ppts;
- Asia Pacific: 81.6%, +5.6 ppts;
- Trans-Atlantic: 75.2%, +0.8 ppt;
- Latin America: 73.9%, +6.2 ppts;
- North America: 75.8%, +2.1 ppts.
- Passenger numbers: 11.7 million, +13.6% year-on-year;

- Passenger numbers: 123.5 million, +3.6% year-on-year;
- Domestic: 83.7 million, +6.3%;
