ALTA pax numbers and cargo traffic up in Dec-2011, 139.2 million pax in 2011
Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA) reports (01-Feb-2012) the following traffic highlights:
- Dec-2011:
- Passenger numbers: 12.4 million, +4.8% year-on-year;
- Passenger traffic (RPKs): +5.9%;
- Capacity (ASKs): +8.3%;
- Passenger load factor: 74%, -1.6 ppts;
- Cargo traffic (FTKs): +3.0%;
- 12 months ended Dec-2011:
- Passenger numbers: 139.2 million, +3.8%;
- Passenger traffic (RPKs): +5.1%;
- Capacity (ASKs): +2.9%;
- Passenger load factor: 74.9%, +1.6 ppts;
