Acelen Renewables secured USD1.5 billion to begin construction of its Bahia SAF and renewable diesel facility, which was scheduled to start operations in 2029 and produce one billion litres p/a, using Honeywell UOP’s hydro-processed esters and fatty acids technology.1 It also signed offtake agreements covering 90% of output, including with Trafigura, Moeve, Bunge and BGN.1 Petrobras completed production and sale of its first SAF batch via 1% co-processing at Duque de Caxias, sold to Vibra under Brazil’s Fuel of the Future Law.2
