GKN Aerospace expanded its Newington, Connecticut facility with a new additive production line for the Pratt & Whitney GTF Fan Case Mount Ring, which it said was on track for 100% serial production by end-2025 and supported A220 and Embraer E195-E2 applications.1 Pratt & Whitney also developed an additive-manufacturing repair for critical GTF components, targeting more than 60% process-time reduction and USD100 million in parts recovery over five years.2
