A broader North American fee-reset had unfolded in early Apr-2026, with United, Delta and Southwest lifting domestic checked-bag charges to around USD45 for a first bag and higher for additional bags, while other carriers added surcharges tied to fuel costs.1 Hawaiian previously set North America–Hawaii main-cabin fees at USD30 for the first checked bag and USD40 for the second, effective 13-Nov-2018.2
