Saudi Air Navigation Services and Indra previously signed an agreement to develop and operate the Middle East's first virtual air traffic control tower at Al Ula, supporting Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 and aiming to position the country as a leader in advanced ATM infrastructure, according to SANS CEO Abdulaziz bin Salem Al Zaid and Indra's director ATM operations Javier Ruano1. Plans were also announced for a VIP terminal and general aviation hangar at the airport2.
