Airports of Thailand Plc (AoT) will reportedly pursue its original plan to construct a satellite passenger terminal and related facilities at Suvarnabhumi Airport (Bangkok Post, 04-Mar-2010). AoT management views the old plan as easier to execute than the more recent proposal to construct a domestic passenger terminal and third runway. AoT has reduced the project cost to USD1.86 billion from USD2.3 billion. AoT plans to submit the expansion plan to the Transport Ministry shortly, before final approval is sought from the cabinet.
