Airports Authority of India reports 23% rise in Oct-2009 pax numbers

Airports Authority of India (AAI) reports (11-Jan-2010) the following passenger traffic highlights in Oct-2009:

  • Passenger numbers: 10.7 million, +22.8% year-on-year;
    • Domestic: 7.8 million, +27.6%;
    • International: 2.9 million, +11.4%;
  • Cargo volume: 167,093 tonnes, +17%;
    • Domestic: 61,213 tonnes, +29%;
    • International: 105,880, +11.1%;
  • Aircraft movements: 111,670, +3.9%;
    • Domestic: 87,180, +3.2%;
