Airports Authority of India reports 22% rise in Sep-2009 pax numbers

Airports Authority of India (AAI) reports (08-Dec-09) the following passenger traffic highlights in Sep-09:

  • Passenger numbers: 9.3 million, +22.4% year-on-year;
    • Domestic: 6.7 million, +28.9%;
    • International: 2.5 million, +7.9%;
  • Cargo volume: 158,871 tonnes, +2.3%;
    • Domestic: 57,386, +12.9%;
    • International: 101,485, -2.8%;
  • Aircraft movements: 103,437, +0.7%;
    • Domestic: 80,883, stable;
