Aircalin aiming to increase Noumea-Bangkok-Paris frequency in 2025: CCO

Aircalin chief commercial officer (CCO) William Le Grand, speaking at Routes Asia 2025, stated (25-Mar-2025) the twice weekly frequency on the airline's Noumea-Bangkok-Paris service is "quite difficult to maintain", so the carrier aims to add a third weekly frequency in late 2025, "that should work much better". Mr Le Grand said the route achieved "very high" load factors at its launch in Dec-2024 with "better figures than expected" due to peak season demand. He said the low season in 2025 will be more challenging.

Background ✨

Aircalin initiated its twice weekly Noumea-Bangkok-Paris service on 11-Dec-2024 using A330-900neo aircraft, with no other carriers operating this route1. Additionally, Aircalin planned to increase frequencies for its Noumea to Sydney and Brisbane routes in 2025 due to rising demand2. The airline also considered launching a direct Noumea-Paris service starting in 2026, requiring adjustments to its long haul fleet in collaboration with Airbus3.
