Airbus VP: Deploying 'right-sized' aircraft is key to growth

Airbus VP customer marketing Marisa Lucas Ugena, speaking at the CAPA Airline Leader Summit Asia, stated (01-Oct-2026) recent aviation industry growth has been dependent on "mega hubs" that are becoming more congested. Ms Ugena highlighted the need to deploy "right-sized" aircraft on thinner routes to support growth. She said deploying "the right gauge in the right market" is key to opening new markets.
