Airbus expects long range A321 variant to offer new route development opportunities

Airbus head of marketing Asia and North America Joost van der Haijden, speaking at the CAPA Fleet & Finance Summit, stated (03-Mar-2017) he believes the long range version of the A321neo will open up new route opportunities, as the aircraft possess similar range and capacity to the Boeing 757, but a significantly reduced cost per seat.
