airBaltic reports net profit in 2Q2013, ahead of schedule to become profitable in 2014

airBaltic revenue up 3% - financial highlights:

  • Three months ended 30-Jun-2013:
    • Revenue: LVL62.8 million (EUR89.6 million), +2.8% year-on-year;
    • Net profit: LVL1.0 million (EUR1.4 million), compared to a loss of LVL7.1 million (EUR10.1 million) in p-c-p;
    • Passenger numbers: 810,000, -1.2%;
    • Yield: LVL71.31 (EUR101.8), +5.4%;
    • Revenue per ASK: LVL 5.27 sants (EUR 7.5 cents), +3.5%;
  • Six months ended 30-Jun-2013:
    • Revenue: LVL107.3 million (EUR153.2 million), +2.4%;
    • Net profit (loss): (LVL8.8 million) (EUR12.5 million), compared to a loss of LVL23.6 million (EUR33.7 million) in p-c-p;
    • Passenger numbers: 1.3 million, -5.0%;
    • Yield: LVL71.38 (EUR101.9), +7.2%;
