AirAsia market cap surpasses record

AirAsia Bhd's market capitalisation (market cap) surpassed the MYR11 billion mark for the first time, as the stock closed at a new high on 01-Aug-2011 (Business Times, 02-Aug-2011). Its stock closed at MYR3.99 yesterday, after reaching an intra-day high of MYR4.06 a share. More than 8.5 million shares were traded. The end price was the highest close on record for the LCC which also helped the company's market cap surge to MYR11.08 billion.
