Air Transat COO: Over-optimisation contributes to supply chain issues

Air Transat COO Marc Lumpé, speaking at the CAPA Airline Leader Summit Americas, stated (03-Apr-2025) contributing factors to supply chain disruption include supply chain over-optimisation and not pricing in resilience. Mr Lumpé commented: "What do we have to change to make sure that the next big external shock is not going to create the same problems that we are going to struggle for 10 years with?".
