Air Premia plans to focus more on yields than costs

Air Premia CEO Dr Jong Chul Kim, speaking at the CAPA LCCs in North Asia Summit, stated (12-Jun-2018) Air Premia plans to "focus on yields over costs", adding that the start up LCC plans to have better margins than any other player in the LCC segment. Dr Kim said Air Premia plans to be a low complexity carrier, rather than a traditional low cost carrier, stating: "We are going to offer premium services to our customers". He said South Korea airlines should provide affordable premium international services from Seoul Incheon International Airport to combat potential future competition from very low cost mainland China LCCs.
