Air New Zealand net profit down 31% in FY2019, highest unit revenue from domestic operation

Air New Zealand reported (22-Aug-2019) the following financial highlights for the 12 months ended 30-Jun-2019:

    • Passenger: NZD4960 million (USD3327 million), +5.6%;
    • Cargo: NZD390 million (USD261.6 million), +0.8%;
  • Operating costs: NZD4605 million (USD3089 million), +9.6%;
    • Labour: NZD1351 million (USD906.1 million), +4.4%;
    • Fuel: NZD1271 million (USD852.5 million), +28.8%;
  • Operating profit before finance costs, associates and tax: NZD368 million (USD246.8 million), -31.9%;
  • Net profit: NZD270 million (USD181.1 million), -30.8%;
  • Yield: NZD 12.9 cents (USD 8.7 cents), +0.8%;
  • Revenue per ASK: NZD 10.8 cents (USD 7.2 cents), +1.6%;
    • Domestic: NZD 22.5 cents (USD 15.1 cents), +2.1%;
