Air India previously partnered with Bluebox Aviation Systems to launch 'Vista', a wireless IFE service for streaming content to passengers' personal devices across most existing widebodies, with plans to extend it to narrowbodies.1 Air India also selected Panasonic Avionics as IFE provider for 74 aircraft and signed for Panasonic's Astrova seatback IFE on 34 widebodies on order.2 3 Air India selected Thales' AVANT Up for 51 aircraft, including retrofits of 777s/787s during 2024-2025 and linefit on new deliveries from 2025.4 Air India's digital modernisation under Vihaan.AI included website and mobile app upgrades and IFE modernisation, with recent mobile app enhancements adding an in-house booking engine, payment orchestration and a dedicated Maharaja Club section.5 6
