Air India faces USD1.3bn in lost revenue due to B787 delays

Air India stated it is in talks with Boeing over compensation for B787 delays (heraldnet/Wall Street Journal, 14-Jan-2011). The carrier has 27 B787s on order. Air India was reportedly expected to have received 20 B787s by now, based on the initial delivery schedule. The carrier estimates it has lost INR60 billion (USD1.3 billion) in revenue due to the delays.
